I have just decided to take the plunge with Linux and have tried to install Suse 10.0 onto my computer. Everything went fine with the installation until after the hardware configuration when the desktop was supposed to load. At this stage, the screen went blank. My monitor gave the message: "Mode not supported 255.7 kHz V: 239.9 Hz".
I have tried rebooting but the same thing happens. It does load in text mode but I'm not sure what to do from there.
