Running "MovingToLinux"-CD problems

Got Linux up and running ok from CD BUT, certain progs don't run: Kuser, Knoppix-configure printers, and others. Once activated the hour-glass shows but dissapears after a while and that's it.
I can run Konquerer ok and also FireFox although it complains that "file /cdrom/wftlweb/index.html can not be found".

At start up the message: "modprobe Fatal: '/lib/modules/2.6.11/kernel/drivers/input/evdev.ko' not a directory" appears.

Thanks, Jos.

Desktop Screen of Death

Why is it that when I open the big K and then open Quick Browse, and then move my mouse over anything in that fly-out, the "Kicker" a.k.a. task bar disappears. I would not call that much better than a blue screen of death. I know Linux is not supposed to fail, but just in case is there any dirty little secret like the three finger salute (control+alt+delete) we use so often in windows?
