hi guys and gals,you have probably heard this a thousand times but hear i go,i am running windows xp and would like to know if it is possible to run Linux as well as windows. i have some basic experience with pc's, but would love if someone with more experience than me could help. thanks for your time and patience Greg |

Dual Booting
Hi Greg,
First time on Marcel's site, but yes, you can. What kind of system are you planning on dual booting?
I just dual booted my laptops, one with 2000 pro and Ulteo, the other with xp pro and Ubuntu/Xubuntu/Kubuntu.
The main thing to look out for is networking. If you are using a wireless network I would make sure that your card is going to be supported. If you are using a wired network you should...should be ok.
The only distro that I found would not dual boot very well was fedora. If you stick with Ubuntu, Mandriva, you should be ok.
