I am a true newbie to Linux, trying to switch from "that other operating system." I have a DLink wireless card, but I don't know how to go about getting Knoppix to recognize it. I found one post on-line that says "create a configuration file" with a described code. Problem is, I don't know how even to create a file yet. Is there a "how to" get Knoppix to recognize a wireless card out there somewhere that I've not stumbled on? The card is a DLink DWL-G650. Don |

wireless card in SUSE 10.2
I have just loaded SUSE 10.2 on my laptop (Compaq Presario R3000). There is a Broadcom 802.11b/g wireless card in the computer. I have located the .inf file for the card. I have followed the instructions for the ndiswrapper installation in Linux. When I run the ndiswrapper -l command to list the drivers I get the response that it finds the bcmwl5a driver but says that it is an invalid driver.
Does anyone have any suggestions to be able to get the wireless card working?
Thanks for any and all suggestions..
