Every once in a while, I'm going to post something that catches me at the moment; some Linux tip (or trick) that I thought was interesting and that you might find useful. Yes, it kind of leaves you up to the vagueries of your humble host, but it is my site <insert appropriate smiley here>. I'll try to keep this list up to date, but anything here will likely show up on the WFTL-LUG first. So, without further Adieu and in no particular order, here's my list of tips.

Audigy 2ZS support
From the ALSA "Sound Card Matrix", it looks like you might have to wait a bit before you will be able to use your Audigy 2ZS sound card in Linux.
According to various pages I found through Google (search on "audigy linux"), it looks like the Audigy 2ZS isn't fully supported yet, although the emu10k1 driver is able to enable some of it's functions.
So, I doubt that, at the moment, there is such a thing as a distro that fully supports this Audigy card. OTOH, most of the other Soundblaster cards are supported, no matter what distro you use.
On the other hand, if you can live with limited functionality, the "Sound Card Matrix" has instructions on how to enable the Audigy card drivers in Linux. You might want to explore that "Sound Card Matrix" a bit to see what it takes to get your sound card working.
Hope this helps
