Every once in a while, I'm going to post something that catches me at the moment; some Linux tip (or trick) that I thought was interesting and that you might find useful. Yes, it kind of leaves you up to the vagueries of your humble host, but it is my site <insert appropriate smiley here>. I'll try to keep this list up to date, but anything here will likely show up on the WFTL-LUG first. So, without further Adieu and in no particular order, here's my list of tips.

re: Linux System Administration, 2nd edition?
Hello bainum,
Thanks for asking. In a very real sense, the second edition of "Linux System Administration : A User's Guide" is already out. That book is called "Moving to the Linux Business Desktop" and it covers updates to most of the server material I covered in LSA. It was decided (between my publisher and myself) that we should also put some emphasis on desktop deployment, hence the title. Another note on that title : the idea (perhaps not a great idea) was to make "Linux System Administration" part of the whole "Moving to" series. Perhaps I should have called it "Moving to Linux Systems Administration : A User's Guide." [ insert appropriate smiley here ]").
Seriously, the LSA stuff has been updated and includes things that weren't there before (LTSP, groupware solutions, Postfix, iptables). If you haven't checked out "Moving to the Linux Business Desktop", do give it a look. I think you'll find it's a great followup to LSA.
