I am new to Linux and am tring to install Fedora on some systems that were donated to our church. I had loaded XP on a couple of systems and then loaded Fedora on a couple others. Since these were donated computers, I don't have a license for these machines (XP) and wanted to install Fedora on the others. I had no problems with the systems that I loaded Fedora on initially, but the first one (XP) that I tried to load Fedora on that had XP on it has only a 10 Gig hard drive and I don't want to dual boot these systems, so I told it to write over the existing system (XP). It went fine until the reboot, and it won't boot the error I get is: "Error loading operating system" I can put a Knoptic disk in and it come up fine, but I must need to do something to get it to boot off the hard disk to Fedora... I just don't know what??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Blayne Overman -- rboverman@gmail.com |

linux<xp
perhaps you may try tweaking bios settings, me thinks you can do this by shutting down, and then reopening while holding down the computer's designated f key. It may be f1 from their you can designate the order that your computer will boot. be patient because you may need to trial and error! can't guarantee it, but it may work! God Bless....
