Hey i just bought the book Moving To "Ubuntu" Linux used and it did not come with the DVD that it mentioend. no big deal but i was wondering if there was a ISO on this site that i could download or should i just go to the ubuntu site and download the latest release. i noticed that you mentioned that on the DVD you packaged a few extra software bundles and i was wondering if thats on all the ubuntu disks. thanks |

Moving to Ubuntu Linux
Dear Marcel,
I have tried to install Ubuntu from the dvd in your to my computer and the only two things I was succesful was with the browser and the word processor. The dvd doesnt boot even after disabling both the floppy and the HD. My computer is an eMachines model w2247 running XP-SP2 on an Athlon XP 2200+, 1GB RAM, 29 GB available ultraATA HD space, 128 MB video card and an LTR double layer DVD drive. My computer is connected to both, an HP5610v all in one printer and an 8150 photosmart printer. Can you help me?
