I needed to replace my fujitsu hard drive as after partitioning with parted it died. I have had to replace another branded hard drive earlier for same reason, can't remember brand. This computer is an msi the last was a dell. I had linux on my wife's dual os compaq laptop too but parted or grub screwed the mbr and I had to reformat it and leave linux off. I could see needing another hard drive replacement for her computer if I didn't make it xp only. I need my computers to be dual os as I have a few programs for which there is no good replacement in linux and there won't be either for them. Of course if there were some easy way to make all my windows programs run in linux and have no problems with wifi(I replaced my laptop wifi cards with ralink ones as they were supposed to work with linux) and dialup (my laptops-every single one of them need to run sl-modem, which always has to be downloaded and installed after installing the distro, which is one grade A pain in the butt) I would be linux only and maybe that wouldn't ruin my hard drives. Suggesting dual hard drive isn't logical in a 12" laptop. What do you suggest Marcel?
