I first 'noticed' this article in 'slashdot.org', under 'Linux'.... The shear number of '52 million' is absolutely 'staggering'.... Comparatively speaking, M$ 'only' sold an estimated '160 million' copies of 'Vista', worldwide!!

I hope, that the Brazilian 'Ministery of Education' can pull this off.... It is 'really' a gigantic task!!
Operating systems are like 'religions'.... Once exposed to a certain 'religion', it's very 'hard' to switch to another one..... Once exposed to 'Windows', it is very 'hard' to switch to another 'form' of Operating System!!
For Brazil this counts as a 'huge' cost savings program; really.... The 'import' of any operating system or application, goes against their balance of payment 'ledger'!!
I hope more countries will follow their 'lead'!! And I wish them 'success': More 'Power' to them!!
