WFTL IRC (and Monday) Chats

Every Monday night (almost), I run an informal chat. All WFTL-LUG (and WFTL-ANNOUNCE) members are invited to participate. Subjects vary, but for the most part, these are Linux chats although they do not have to deal specifically with my articles (current or past). Almost any topic is acceptable here. The official time is 5:30 pm Eastern (10:30 UTC for those outside this area) and the chats run for 90 minutes, ending at 7:00 pm Eastern (00:00 UTC).

Using your favorite IRC client (xchat, ksirc, kvirc, etc), connect to the IRC server at chat.marcelgagne.com, port 6667 (the default IRC port). On the off chance that you don't already have an IRC client (or you can't use one from your location), I provide a Java IRC client at the following address.

http://www.marcelgagne.com/wftl-lug/wftlirc

There's really only one channel there and the welcome page will tell you that, but to get to the chat, type the following in your IRC client's command window.

     /join #wftlchat

That's it. You're on.

The IRC channel is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Although I won't promise to always be there, you can visit at any time and chat all you want.

If you are ready to "Kiss the Blue Screen of Death Goodbye!", buy my book, "Moving to Linux: Kiss the Blue Screen of Death Goodbye!" and set yourself free. If you need help, join the WFTL-LUG; it is free and you can unsubscribe at any time. Note: All material on this website is copyrighted by Marcel Gagné.
