This is the WFTL LUG, a global, distributed Linux User Group, provided free of charge on my server where my readers can share information, ideas, and ask questions. If I can't answer quickly (I get a lot of emails and can sometimes be slow in replying), others on the list may be able to help you out faster. It is a good crowd and the members tend to stay on topic, namely Linux. There's no cost to join, you can select digest or individual message delivery, and you can leave at any time. It's basically a great place to chat with other people who are moving (or have moved) to Linux. Discussions may spring from my books or articles, or anything else related to Linux in general.
(If this isn't your thing and you just want to keep up to date on new articles as they come out and you really don't feel like talking, you might want to just join the WFTL-announce list instead.)
Please note that everyone who subscribes to the WFTL-LUG does get added to the WFTL-ANNOUNCE list as well via a script that runs once a week or so. I do that so that I don't have to send info messages out twice to people (one message to each list).
This list is not moderated, but . . . I am watching, so be good. This is designed to be a place for information exchange, not an arena for flames (although light conversation that is more or less on topic is permitted).
Cheers!
